About audio formats
Not sure which audio format to choose?
- MP3 CDs can be read in most computers (Mac and PC), as well as specially designated CD and DVD players, or portable MP3 players such as the iPod. They cannot be played in older audio-only CD players. One MP3 CD has enough capacity to hold an entire symposium.
- Audio CDs (CD-R) can be played in most computers and most commercial CD and DVD players. They only hold about 70 minutes of audio per CD, so longer sessions require two CDs. Some older CD or DVD players may not be compatible with CD-R.
- Cassette tapes are available for people without CD options.
