About this work
Backlighting adds a nice touch to this portrait of an elderly sled dog sitting on her house. Since I didn't use a flash to fill in the foreground, I lightened Chevy's face in Photoshop (using a Curves adjustment layer plus a mask) to reduce the contrast between the backlight halo and shadowy subject.
